RushCard - Account Review
A merchant charged my Rush Card according to Rush card . The charges were $975 (which I did not owe the merchant) .
Rush Card authorized the transaction that only had $19.99 in it. After authorizing the transaction and paying the merchant , Rush Card then told me my account had a negative balance and began taking money that I deposited and kept leaving me with a Zero balance . I called them and asked them what the heck was going on. The rep told me to file a dispute and they would cancel the card and send me a replacement and no one would be deducting anymore money from me.
I never received the first replacement card and when I received the second I direct deposited my paycheck on the card, because Rushcard assurred me NO money would come off of the card or account any further with a new card / account number. Well they lied they just took my whole check of $619 that was for food and housing. They will not correct it and refund my money . They are saying the dispute is not complete and they haven't heard from the merchant and it has been a month.
The merchant told me I have a zero balance. Of course the merchant won't respond. I do not owe them anything and there is no dispute. Plan and simple Rush Card just stole almost 1,000 from me and they will not refund it.
I have been with Rush Card 7 years and this is the first problem I have had and it is a big one . That is causing me grave problems.
The is theft and fraud! .
Reason of review: Problems with payment.

Rushcard.took money from my account without notifying me. Consumers beware!!!!!!
I didn't know what a Rush card is, so I did a quick Google and found myself wondering why anyone would mess with this. Even on its best day there don't appear to be many advantages but on its worst it is a real pain to the point of disaster for folks who find themselves financially paralyzed or compromised because of it.
Sorry to hear about your troubles ; that sounds awful.
I'm not crazy about brick and mortar banks but it's a good idea to have an affiliation with at least one. And - never keep your assets and your obligations at the same bank ...
It's only a matter of time with these companies until they steal from their customers . The government should do more to stop these abuses of trust and people's lives.
We need to find a class action suit attorney
How can we get this started?
